I have travelled widely throughout my life, and always loved finding and photographing extraordinary and beautiful images. I now have so many that I felt I should do something with them! The challenge has been trying to select shots that are able to convey something of how I felt when I took them...some essence of which can be shared with visitors to this site.

Photography has for me always been a passion, burning away in the background and only taking centre-stage when work allowed, but now I want to bring it to prominence, hence the development of this website. My career history is quite varied, but has always been in the field of academia and research. I love all the Arts, particularly theatre, ballet and music. I have published two books on contemporary American drama, as well as poetry, chapters, articles and reviews.

As you will see from some photographs on this site, I also adore wildlife and the natural world; to me, it is a privilege to be able to capture such remarkable and unique images.

I hope you will find something here that pleases you as much as it has enchanted me.
