Ecuador

I visited Ecuador for the second time in June 2013 - I had been briefly back in 2004 as part of the Galapagos Islands trip, but a 24 hour plane delay put paid to much of an Ecuadorean adventure. I resolved to return, and I'm delighted that I did! What a fabulous country of such contrasting landscapes, wonderfully welcoming people and amazing wildlife. Definitely worth a visit - I'm amazed it isn't more well known....
